We have been in the alpaca business since the fall of 1997.
Being city kids, for the first 6 months we learned how to care for and shelter our alpacas then we started
agisting for other families for the next 3 years. The diversity of the business can take you from caring for
the animals, to breeding and birthing, showing, judging, training, shearing, fiber processing and into the
fiber arts. Some ask about the viability of the alpacas business and it is our belief that this diversity
will keep the industry sustainable.
